my current = 2ms response and 3000:1

new = 3ms and 800:1

what does this 800 and 3000:1 mean? is this quality? sry im nub

i know 2ms and 3ms wont be much difference
but from 3000:1 to 800:1 seems worrying

Means very little, anything over around 800/1000:1 is not possible on a consumer TFT so they fake it with "dynamic contrast ratio", i.e., they dim the backlight across the whole screen if there are dark scenes which actually makes the image worse.

There are Lies, Damned Lies and Monitor Specs. Be wary of the 28" screen though, that's very large for a TN panel, which will really accentuate the flaws of the technology as you move your head around.

will it still be as sharp picture as my 22" as i sent a previous 22" back because of 8ms response was so horrible :O
