hi my mind has turned to mush deciding what card to get.
im loyal to nvidia but i would like to try ATI

is there a better priced and better performance card on the markat than the gtx260
thats ATI and if so what one should i go for

I think you'll do better posting a spec me thread in general hardware, list budget, intended use and whether you're capable of assembling it yourself and we'll go from there

I think the best card available anywhere is the 8800GT but I don't think I'll find anyone on here that agrees with me

gfx cards atm currently stand at
295>285>4890=275>4870 1gig=260>4870 half gig>4850=250
the best price/performance ratio atm is the 4890/275 and 4870/260 area
What card you should get depends largely on rest of system/resolution/needs/budget
Edit: as jon says post in general hardware with your requirements
