Need to get my deck treated this weekend looking at the Ronseal stuff, not sure if I need decking oil or decking protector, I am not after a stain as want to keep it looking natural.

Thanks

Kimbie

Cuprinol antislip stuff is good and you can get this as clear coat. If you have any rotting patches you should use something with anti fungal additives like Cuprinol complete wood treatment. Tried ronseal before and it only lasted a few months.

I put on a light coat of teak Liberon using a roller on my new deck last year in september. Its lasted well in all the wet weather we have had, im going to recoat it this year. Apparently you can use a sprayer with liberon now aswell. My deck was 5mx5m and i needed 3 cans of the stuff for the initial coat, im expecting to use much less.

Can anyone recommend a sprayer?

I used Ronseal in the end as I could not find any of the products recommended nearby as I needed them for the weekend.

The deck looks so much better from getting oiled, just need to get a second coat on there today and that will be done for another year.

Don't bother with anything other than a good quality decking oil. Stain it and regret it in a few years down when it starts peeling.
This.
I did ours last year with Ronseal Ultimate Decking Stain and it looked great. Fast forward 10 months on and it started to peel off
I jet washed it down to clean if off and the now it looks a complete mess. There is decking stain peelings everywhere, all over the garden.

Considering the Ultimate Stain is advertised to last 5+ years I'm pretty annoyed. It most definitely does not do 'Exactly what it says on the tin' !!

Decking oil and decking stain are two different products.

I used decking oil so there is nothing to flake or peel as the oil is soaked into the wood and not painted
