Following on from this thread asking if people turn off/sleep/whatever their pcs and many people have said their startup times are as low as ~5 seconds.

I've timed mine, from pressing the power button it takes about 11 seconds before the BIOS screen loads, and then a further 13 seconds to get to the windows password prompt.

Is there a way to reduce this? I'd much rather have a pc that powers up in 5 seconds instead of 25 lol! Specs are
Ryzen 5 3600
MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX II
WD Blue SN550 1TB NVME M.2

I'd doubt any get 5 second cold boots into windows, but I'll time mine tomorrow, I have same 3600, tomahawk 2 and m.2 ssd, but I'd say it's roughly the same time as yours at a guess

Mine has gone exactly the same, It used to boot to Windows in under 10 seconds not it doesnt show me the Startup Logo until 10 secs
Ryzen 5 3600
Asrock B450 ITX Fatality
Sabrent 1TB NVME

Have a look your startup apps and services. Loads of apps and services gets preloaded during startup. Uninstall any software/driver you don’t need.

when HDD is connected to the system the startup will be slower as the motherboard will need to communicate with the HDD to get basic device information.

Ok, timed mine, I have a few HDD's connected too, so the time from cold boot dead to windows was 38 seconds, you can probably knock off 10+ seconds without the mechanical hdd's :D

Think my bios posting takes longer than windows loading. off to time it.....

From power button press to windows logon screen is 26 seconds, 18 of that is bios posting then me selecting windows(I have a boot menu for dual boot).

Last time i timed mine was under 20secs. Same as above, no windows load and auto sign in, but going to change that soon. I have delayed/selective startup also, can't remember why, i'm due a reinstall due to a going Win10 Pro soon.
