I thought the idea of ATX 2.0 was to have 2 seperate power rails already 1 for mobo and 1 for gfx card etc?

Don't really see the point in this extra one. Seems a bit gimmicky to me 3 power rails?

Not sure if you would need the extra power either with 700w and above PSU's already being on sale.

As you said, it might be ok for a pelt or something but it does look a little dodgy, how does the switching work?

there is an atx plug on it, male- female so it must get the signal from there.

FSP have also made one, obviously lowered the stress on the main PSU and it allowed the cpu and graphics to be overclocked slightly more.
