Had a quick search but couldn't find any existing threads.

Was mulling over an upgrade, and given that i'm fairly happy with my shuttle and if i did move back to ATX, i'd be fairly reluctant to spend £200 plus, on a power supply. I was looking at dedicated VGA PSU's and then found this:

So, ok its a bit bodgy, but theoretically, if done properly, would you be able to use a normal cheaper PSU to power, say a GTX? The advantages are fairly obvious if you have a shuttle.

Are there implications to this? Is it just a stupid idea? Does the mobo graphics and mainboard need to be on the same supply?

Thanks.
