Ok, bear with me here & yes I appreciate the timing! ----- I'm curious about a deep sea sub VR simulator ......... I've had a look around for something like this, there are a few low quality VR titles available (even Titanic VR awkwardly )

But it got me thinking - why isn't there a deep sea sub VR title thats got state of the art graphics & content - something in which you can 'sit in' and pilot down to the sea bed in Limiting Factor or Deep Sea Challenger.

Something incredibly real and accurate with a few miles of seabed to explore filled with realistic life.

Surely VR lends itself to this as both these subs you can't move much so its great to just sit at your office desk to explore in VR.

Anyone heard of anything upcoming ?

Would be good if the team behind the VR game Kayak made something like that, Kayak was tremendous fun when I played it and the graphics in VR were excellent. Though strangely it did cause more motion sickness than any other VR title I've played.

I'd guess there's very little footage of what's under the sea considering we've supposedly only explored 5% of it, so they'd have to make a lot of it up?

Compare that to something like flight simulator with the amount of footage around for that.

yeah course, u could just procedurally makeup sea bed / life, I thought the idea would be mostly about how immersive it is, excuse the pun.

An older sim and not VR, but I have Dive to The Titanic in my steam library, not played it in years though, must be quite cheap now, worth a try maybe?
