Anyone tried one of these?
Just ordered it but came across a review saying it didn't always fit due to the GPU size, which seemed a bit of an odd place to have a clash since I'd imagine most ATX boards have the same spacing? Wondering if I'm in for some pain if I want to put a 7900XT in.

Due to differences in motherboard layouts, the following motherboards are not compatible with the ASSASSIN IV: ROG STRIX Z790-H GAMING WIFI, ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI, MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE, MSI B650M APE WIFI, ROG CROSSHAIR X670E GENE, and MSI MEG Z790 ACE.

No mention of GPU incompatible but I'm guessing this may be due to backplate thicknesses, but I'm guessing

Wow, didn't even see that list on the site. Thanks. Wonder if the GPU spacing or backplate is the reason?
Seems like I should be ok as I've gone for an ASRock X670E PG Lightning.

Ive not seen anything about the cooler causing problems in this forum but you could always change it.

The Theralright Peerless Assassin 120se is the best budget performance king .

Yeah that one is probably a bit smaller. Solid performance but I figured I might as well go overkill considering the cost of the rest of the system. Maybe somewhere down the line it'll give me some OC room.

I have the AK620 in my system, and yes, that cooler is mighty close to the GPU backplate.
Tbf I don't mind close. Just that it says no
GPU over 200mm will fit, which is tiny. Doesn't say if they are using a micro or itx though. I can't believe they'd release a design that doesn't fit a standard ATX and mid-high end cards.

The Scythe Fuma 3 is also looking good as is the Peerless Assassins replacement the, Phantom Spirit 120.

There's a few decent ones out there. There's probably only a couple degrees in it.

Great choice of excellent, high performing CPU coolers that won't break the wallet. Hat's off to Thermalright for basically embarrassing other manufacturers charging more for worse performing or marginally better coolers.

Love mine and cost me £36 delivered. Near silent too! Gaming with a 5700x/4070 in anything new it never seems to go above 57c even in native 4k or 4k dlss at a capped 60fps with RT on, and all I have is 2 140mm BeQuiet Pure wings 2 non pwm rifle bearing fans!
