Default Application Icons

Hey guys,

I have changed my default application settings to enable .doc and .xls files to be opened by pages and numbers, but wondered if I can change the default icon for these files?

When I had them assigned to open with Word and Excel, the icons matched for those applications, but now they just appear as a generic document icon, which is a little irritating!

Does anyone know how I can change the whole lot, instead of having to manually change each icon my copying via the info screen?

Try using CandyBar 2.

Download the trial to see if you get long with it. Open it and click the system tab, then drag the icon onto it to replace it. That way all documents will have a certain icon, instead of the white one.

I don't think there's a way to change each type of file though.

Actually, just found a way to do it after a bit of googling. It's a bit long winded but works (just tried it).

LiteIcon is a good free alternative to Candybar if you want to change any of your other icons.
