Am starting off with Snow Leopard but I have one annoyance that I'm sure there is an easy fix to. Right now in every folder by default, new folders/files copied in will sit wherever they want in the window, mostly they tend to sit on icons already there.

I know there is an option to Snap files to a grid and this works well but is there any way to set it on a global basis as opposed to folder by folder.

Thanks in advance.

When you're in the view options, set it up as you want each folder to be by default, then press the "Use as Default" button at the bottom of the pane.

You'll have to do it separately for the desktop if you want to change that to.

Hope that helps. :)

I'll go and hide under a rock for missing that, 4 hours sleep is failing me. Will try at home later (on uni macs at the moment).:p
