default fsb on ds4?

hi

im sure i saw it at 100???

but ive changed it anyway now to about 400 which gives me about 2.8ghz and my ocz ram clocks too 800mhz ?

does that sound about right?

also all my voltages are on stock with a cpu temp of about 25c idle on a artic freezer 7?

Yup that sounds spot on :)

Depending on how far you can push your RAM ( what ram do you have? ) you can start to up the FSB a little more.

Shouls easily see 3Ghz as long as your RAM dosent hold you back :)

im using the ocz 6400 platinum 2 gig (the offer one on ocuk)

i will be happy with 2.8ghz as i dont want too push my system too far.

ive set my fan methods in the bios to legacy and pwm it that ok?

i get a system temp of about 40-45c ?
and the cpu 25c?

Indeed, the few I have used all had 100MHz set the very first time they were booted into the bios. Simply set it to what you want and your good to go. I think it is simply a built in safety measure to help ensure the board will boot first time. Similar to the memory only being detected at 266(533)MHz.
