My friend has just rented out a new office which comes with internet

He has one Ethernet port in his room that is active for data and he has been given 2 numbers, an IP address and a subnet mask.

How do we configure him for internet access as we dont have a default gateway?

The IP addess he was given was 80.XXX.XXX.130 so an external IP and subnet mask was 255.255.255.224

Thanks

As above.

You'll find the majority of configured networks always have the gateway IP at the start or the end of the range.
