Default Installation Problem

Hi there,

I'm just about to get a new rig with a SSD for ssd caching and for win7 and some other software.

Currently I'm using XP and I've had problems with software installations where the software ignores my pc's (Changed) default drive (:X) and tries to install in C regardless.

Does anyone know if this is an issue with win7? I don't want to end up not being able to install software on the ssd when there won't be space!

Thanks!

Yeah, I do for most, but not all allow for a custom path annoyingly.

The SSD is only 64gb, going to split it for ssd caching and for windows install and a couple bits of software, want most for caching though.

Not sure what you mean Crenache about subst?
