When I turn on my TV using the TV's remote, it handily also turns on the AV Receiver via HDMI-CEC (I think).

Before I moved house, when I did this the default source would be CBL/SAT (which is the HDMI input that I have the Sky+HD box plugged into) and this worked well as this is what we use the TV for 80% of the time.

Since moving, this is no longer the case. When I turn the TV and Sky box on, the receiver outputs the Sky Audio and Video for about 5 seconds before reverting to "TV Audio", showing a blank screen and no sound (as the TV itself isn't doing anything at this point). This is very annoying, especially as I have to open a cupboard door to use the receiver remote to switch it back to CBL/SAT every time I turn it on.

It never used to be a problem before, but I can't find any menu option whatsoever that will help. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?

A harmony remote would probably sort it all but I don't really want to drop the money on it.

Anything in this thread help, after the first post they start referring specifically to Denon Amps.

CEC is great when it works but and absolute arse when it starts trying to be "clever", I ended up going down the Harmony hub route and will not look back now even if it means I have to use an optical from TV to Amp as ARC will not work without CEC.
