Defcon game - awfully slow

Just installed the demo of this and it's crushingly slow - unplayable.

Anyone know why this could be?

System is:

Vista64
E6600
3GB RAM
x1950rpo

Works fine here on Vista x64, however I'm using nvidia graphics. Wouldn't have thought that would have made any difference on a game like this though. Are you playing the demo through steam?

Retail version came today.... nukes everywhere aaghhh!!! :cool:
 
Superb game, and at only £14.99 from Gamep**y delivered you can't go wrong, so much power at your fingertips.. Christ... :eek: Europes just been flattened and converted into the worlds largest carpark... :D Got to go and save the world... wish me luck.
 
are you guys sure you are not just mixing up slow performance with the actual games performance - it is a slow game;)

Defcon version 1.42 on Steam.

There was a problem when Vista was first released where Defcon would run slowly and had jerky performance but I can't remember if it was fixed by a graphics, sound or OS update.
