Was hoping to be writing a glowing review of this event and how happy I was to finally see one of my favourite bands on tour after being a fan for over 10 years.

Sadly, having driven to Bristol from Stratford, hung around in a couple of bars drinking coke waiting for the doors to open at 7pm, they cancelled the gig as Chino lost his voice.

So I've just driven the 75 miles back from Bristol in a very bad mood.

I most certainly did, and well worth the wait it was too, one of the best I've been to.

Couldn't have hoped for a better setlist, and Chino is awesome as a frontman.

The sound levels were a bit out for the first couple of songs, but they tweaked it nicely and from then on they tore the place apart.

I saw them many years ago at Reading, but you can't really guage a band from a 40min performance infront of a random crowd.

They totally blew me away in Bristol though, it was the last date on the UK stint of their Euro tour (due to rescheduling) but they clearly put everything into it, Chino was up and down the stage like a man possessed and Chi is just genuinely scary.

Go see them if you get the chance, not many bands I've seen have topped that. How they make so much noise with just the one guitar (for the most part anyway) is beyond me.
