Nope, Macs you definitely do, and I think you do with some software but you don't with accessories like cables etc.

Nope not on them things, I think it's only Apple branded stuff you can get discounts with.

I went to the apple store in glasgow to buy a mighty mouse the other day. I asked if they do student discount and the guy took out a folder and looked at a big table of all their products and what the discount for each one is.
(You do get discount on mightymouse btw )

Yeah there are a few lil things like that but as a general rule, no discount on software, 3pp and some hardware. CPUS, and APP have discount. The book has a very long list of what has discount and what rate you get for School, College and University Students.

You can get discount on software, iLife 08 is £50 for students instead of the retail £55, same for iWork 08 and Leopard is cheaper for students too.
