Delayed Boot After Power On

Hello!

Ever since I've had this build I've had a strange problem with it and haven't really had time to diagnose it.

When I switch the power on, the computer starts and the fans start running. However the monitor stays on standby for about 15-20 seconds before the amber standby light turns white indicating it's on and getting a video signal.

Once it gets the video the boot signal starts...and the MSI logo appears. Then the windows load starts and it's normal from there on out.

Motherboard: MSI Z68-G45(B3)
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 580
Monitor: Dell ST2320L
PSU: OCZ 650W
SSD:64GB Crucial M4 (Windows 7 Professional Installed)

I had problem similare to this (my boot up time was much longer) and the cause for me (on my maximus extreme 4 z) was that I had and external hard drive hooked in (actually 2, but after I found the problem I did some testing, my 1tb seagate didnt cause any problems but my 640 WD caused the pc to have an extremely long boot time)

hmm...I'm not sure how this exactly works...but I don't think my HDD/SSD is causing the problem.

Windows is stored on my SSD. The slow wait time is caused before windows even begins to load. Before my Motherboard's MSI splash logo appears.

My SSD seems to be running fine so i don't think that's the issue.

Ahh doesnt look like you're having the same problem I had. Sorry I couldnt be of any more help.

And my HDD didnt cause me any bother - it was the external ones I connected via usb (well more specifically my WD drive....which has a few "bad sectors" and is on its way out, which is why I think it slowed my system)
