Recently, I've noticed that any form of logging off i.e. shutdown, restart or just logging off takes about 4 to 5 minutes before it starts to close apps down, which is quite annoying to say the least.
I can't find any services or background tasks that shouldn't be running. However, according to system resources, the disk and CPU are experiencing activity. Spyware/AV scans come back with nothing to report.
The only thing I can think of is when I looked at the following hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
the "WaitToKillAppTimeout" key is missing. Can anyone confirm that they have this or have any idea as to what's going on.
Thanks
