Delayed texts and no 2.3.5 OTA update for Desire S? (T-Mobile)

Hi all

My girlfriends Desire S that she got around 3 weeks ago which will not get the OTA 2.3.5 update from T-Mobile, when she goes to check for updates it shows that the phone is up to date......she really need this update as txt's to he phone have a massive delay unless she puts it in to orange GSM only??

Any fix for txt issue or manual way to get update?

Wouldn't you consider rooting the phone and flashing a custom rom?

Yeah I guess I will have to if there is no way other fix.....

The OTA update for the Desire S has been rolling out for a good few weeks now but I only got my update last night so they seem to be coming in drips (I have also occasionally manually checked for updates over the past few weeks and always been "up to date").

Yep bought the phone locked to O2 and unlocked it and put a t-mobile sim in. Never teued seeing what would happen if I put the O2 sim back in.
