Using Win XP Pro and the only thing I have on the desktop is the recycle bin and I want to get rid of it, is there anyway of I can get shot of it?

Is there any other shortcuts I can use to access the recycle bin if I actually get rid of it on the desktop?

Thanks

right click your desktop, arrange icons by, untick "show desktop icons". ;)

in explorer, you can browse to "desktop" and it will still be there.

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Display, click the Desktop tab, and then click Customize Desktop.
3. Click to select the check boxes for the desktop items that you want to display, or click to clear the check boxes for the desktop items that you want to remove.

You could just right click on the bin, make a shortcut and put it somewhere on the start menu hidden away for when you do need it or just type recycle bin in the address bar :)

if you actually check for yourself, you should note that the removing the recycle bin icon is not an option. :p
