Delete VBOXADDATIONS_3

Hi what it is, I'm trying to delete it from my desktop, and it wont let me. I already have a copy of this in Computer, and when I right click, delete is shaded, and i cant use it. I'm running Mint 9, and the addons were used to expand my desktop in Virtual mode.

Have you tried removing it as root? So run from the terminal something like:

cd /home/<your username>/Desktop
sudo rm VBOXADDITIONS_3

(or whatever it's called)

Is this inside a Virtual Machine? If so hit Devices->CD/DVD Devices->Unmount CD/DVD Device. It looks like it's mounted and displayed on the desktop.

If it's not a VM, then as Thomas says above.

Pretty sure this is the answer, you need to unmount the virtual cd

The option should also be on the right click menu on the icon its self.
