deleted texts from iphone 3gs can i get them back

hi as title really.

deleted some texts from my iphone 3gs tonight.

Can i get them back anyhow? easily?

my phone backs up daily to icloud, but i have checked on my itunes and i can restore BUT the last backup on itunes was in august.

Cannot see how to restore from a icloud back up and if safe and if it carries everything with it. ie all my email account settings, contacts etc

bit new to apple stuff you see


Anyone shed any light on this or shall i just suck it up as tough cookie?


the texts are still there if i search in spotlight, just not under the persons name on messages.

If you can afford to lose any other data on your phone and the last backup was before you deleted the texts, restoring to the old iCloud backup will do the trick. Otherwise, they'll be gone unfortunately.

yes but how do i restore from icloud ??? i do not really want to restore from the back up on itunes laptop backup as that was i believe in august/september

Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content & settings

During setup you'll get an opportunity to sign in with your iCloud ID and restore from backup.
