sometimes i think Scam has a list of ska bands on his clipboard at all times, just for when people ask this question

VS (damn, there's 2 VS's now!!) if you're looking for hardcore - try the Suicide Machines...they're pretty core.

You'll be wanting to try the Glowskulls then. They've got an awesome distinct sound that no one (to my knowledge) replicates. About as hardcore as ska/punk can get possibly? Without getting silly, anyway :p

Howards Alias are now defunct i think. Kinda a bit progressive ska/punk/rock. I always throw out the name because theyre pretty good. Listen to 'Rob Wants You Dead'.

You might like Adequate Seven, um, Antimaniax?

Good VGS tracks;

El Coo Cooi (sp?)
Nicotine Fit
The Band Geek Mafia
Musical Therapy
Orlando's Not Here
The Devil Made Me Do It

Funny thing is i've moved away from ska/punk now (trying to get back into jazz!) and most of the time its just from memory :p oh ok i do open itunes sometimes ;)

Yeah. Anything off of Battle Hymns \o/

EDIT2: Try Captain Everything! as well. I don't think they do much ska but they do a bit. More fast punk. Might be to your liking.

Im also liking my mad sin/tiger army at the moment....hence the sig

Haha, I'm one of Captain Everythings semi groupies ^^. They keep hitting Swindon so I keep going to see them. They do rock :D

As for Ska, bit of Less Than Jake always goes down fairly well.
