I was deciding between the two and ended up with the Dell 2007WFP. Compared to my 17" dell tn panel screen the 2007 just blows it away. I didn't mind losing 2 inches because it's the same resolution and so will also be slightly sharper.
However, if you haven't used a superior screen before then you probably won't notice anything wrong with it. Many people are very happy with the samsung so it would have been a good choice either way.
