Don't buy that GPU.

Get something like the 1950PRO

Or you could take a look at MM, there are 1900xtx lying around.

3) OC wise (yes I like to dabble) do all the [Core 2 Duos] have more or less the same OC potential making the 1.83Ghz version a better buy than the 2.1 or 2.4?
Grab one with at least an 8X multi if you want an easy life!

P.S: I don't like your spec :D

ok i have done 2 spec's
500.jpg

this has a passive gpu is closer to the spec you had but with a better component for simmler money. this should get you past 3ghz (mine got me to 3.7 on air stable)

600.jpg

if you can afford it this is the way to go due to the gpu being 10x faster so all your games and future games will run better
the gpu is the only thing changed so sghz should be easy to obtain

i choose the ballistix ram as it will run faster than the ram u had specced.. even up 2 8500 speeds (1066) with timings of 4,4,4,12 so will make any overclock easier

as far as gpu goes id say that your card is 10% slower thats all.. if your card did 90fps that would do 100 maybe not a lot in it (the 8500 that is)

There's a much bigger difference than that between the 8800GTS and the 8500GT! The 8500GT will still be better than the 6600GT, but not a whole lot I'd imagine. The 8800GTS is pretty close to top end really.
