i made the upgrade from your processor to a 940, the jump was worth it in my opininion. The best way i can describe it is that with the 6000+ the machine was fast, but the machine was clearly making a lot of *effort* so to speak. With the 940 my pc is slightly faster and doesnt feel like its being strained at all atm.

just doing the same and my mb and ram just come litterally ten mins ago :D

just waiting two weeks on cpu to see if the 965 drops to the 955 price with the new i5 out now

I know the need to upgrade is always there :) But I would suggest you keep your system until there is something it can't do well - when a new game or OS or something comes out that it can't handle, upgrade then, otherwise it's just wasted money.

I'm in exactly the same boat in terms of hardware. Ive other areas I want to upgrade 1st tho like making the pc quieter so I'm holding off upgrading till the 955 drops below 100 before upgrading from the 6000X2. About 2 weeks ago I built a pc for my friend using the phenomII 550 and an AM3 board. Thing runs like a dream. Its amazingly smooth.
