Very small world! My father used to go there to get every little problem sorted on his old 900... Until they tried to sell him an entire exhaust manifold (plus Cat if I remember rightly) for a blowing issue that turned to be the back box assembly . We never went back there (although luckily he finally sold it before it broke again :D).

Not cheap if memory serves!

I never had a problem with them when i had my 9-5, that was until it suffered death by falling wall of course :)

It sounds like the dual mass fly wheel needs replaced rather than the clutch of course it will make sense to replace the clutch and slave cylinder when doing the flywheel. It is a common fault with the flywheel on the 1.9 engine up until the mid 2007 production run. It has been redesigned so the fault should not reoccur.

My girlfriend had this fault on a Zafira which has the same clutch/flywheel as it shares the same diesel engine as the 93 it was £1350 at the dealer luckily under warranty. The parts are around £450 online the rest was labour it was an 11 hour job as the subframe had to be dropped I understand the 93 is the same.

Definitely sounds like a DMF issue. Shop around, main dealers can be double what you can pay elsewhere. Can't comment on this engine, but Ford wanted 1200 quid for the job on my old mondeo, paid 650 elsewhere in the end - so shop around and haggle too!
