Yea I usually add in a banana to my post wo shake (also because without it, it tastes foul :( )

I know that some people who make their own with oats and the like and add in bananas and other fruit.

i use water or milk/whey/2 tablespoons of oats (pre soaked in the milk or water) for 15 mins,1 banana and 1 tablespoon linseed oil.blitz and drink.
its important to pre soak the oats or they go down like grit.

Anyone know how to make some good post/pre workout shakes without the use of any supplements apart from whey?

I cant think of any high GI carbs i could use alongside whey in milk (dont think porridge and water would taste too good :p).
If you're trying to build yourself up then 100g Oats with 40g Whey mixed in water is a very good pre workout shake. Take about 90-60 minutes beforehand.

Within 30 minutes of finishing get another 40g Whey down you along with about 50g Dextrose or (a banana & an apple)

Don't drink milk with either your pre or post workout shakes, it takes hours to digest and will slow the whey down when you need it the most. Mix some Whey with milk just before you goto bed for a nice slow release of amino acids as you sleep ;)
