Well sod it, I am going to say it. Get and Ipod. lol. I am sure they do 14 hours battery life atleast so that is more than enough, but I would say to purchase the "anapod" software (think it cost me $30), its really easy to use and its like using an explorer window.

<edit> Doh, dont think it has line in though!

I just got an ipod even though I hate them. The only reason I got it was because it was half the price but itunes is a pain, navigating is a chore as I'd rather have a normal folder tree.

After I keep on being so negative I dropped the thing because I forgot it was on my lap because it was so light and dropped it in a puddle and it's broken.

The one good thing is Apple's warranty which applies to refurbished items too. It doesn't make up for it's ipods though.. Oh I wish I still had my h140.

I think you'll be looking at the zen vision m or an i audio player.

iaudio x5. Seems like and ideal replacement for an iRiver with line in. Theres a one with a bigger battery aswell so make sure you know which one your buying first.

Why not try to see if you can get hold of a H140? Obviously you won't have video but the battery was great. The only problem with that idea is you'll have to get one second hand.
