I just use a few light sprays of glass cleaner for the screen and plastics, then buff off with a microfibre cloth.

don't do that (on the screen at least). Most laptop manufacturers recommend either a specialist screen cleaner, or better yet water and microfibre cloth - if that doesn't shift muck off the screen, 50/50 mix of Isopropyl Alcohol and water.

Well at work we use the stuff in a can rather than a bottle, but at home I clean my 3 laptops with a light mist and never had any problem, problems arise when you use gallons of the stuff and it gets in your electrics but common sense would prevail I hope.

uPVA cleaner (for windows lol) works a treat but be carefull on the screen, esp if it is a glossy type. This stuff is the daddy: http://www.icoste.com/616_Cleaning/uPVC-Cleaner-500ml.htm

You can get isoprophyl alcohol from some hardware shops and I believe Paplins stock it. Carefull on screens and the keyboard though, alcohol can cause fading and whitening on some types of plastics.
