Unzbin is a good client but I switched from Alt.binz to Unzbin to SAB and SAB is definitely a whole lot better.

I can control it from my Android phone app or any device connected to a web browser and it works very well. You don't even need to load it, just run an nzb and it will download, extract and catalogue and email you once a download is complete,

Spend some time setting it up and you won't ever look back.

If it's not downloading then you've not set your server settings up correctly. Check the Warnings tab via /#/connections/ to see what the error messages are.

AltBinz is really good imo.

I use sabnzbd on my server because it's easier for remote control. But if i want to download something on my desktop then i prefer AltBinz

Sab is just so advance find the best way for you to down. Some people use an auto folder where you download to the nzb to.

I use links where i just copy the link to the nzb in and it grabs it downloads it and sorts it for me.

Some people do auto downloading of rss feeds, would have that but pretty complicated and buggy with repacks etc.

stick with sabnzd

it may be strange to use at first but what's your used to it you will love it

very very advanced at what it can do

Who is your ISP? Could they be throttling you maybe? If VM use port 443 with SSL and it's not managed.

Of course that's if your NNTP provider supports 443 for SSL ... :p

I can't find a better client than Newsleecher. Ye, it's not free, but it has by far the best performence / UI.

Performance? Isn't that down to your connection and HDD (when extracting/repairing :p) :D

Well yes, I was getting at how snappy / responsive it is to dealing with a lot of connections when decoding.

For example I find alt binz gets extremely sluggish when you use a lot of connections.

That's the problems with clients! This is why SAB is so good, it runs as a service and you can go about gaming, watching movies or surfing as normal while it does everything in the background!

I have mine set to 18connections (Astraweb) and have no issues.

You don't need the web interface running at all and even if you do it's just a webpage that refreshes every 5 seconds by default so nothing taxing in the slightest :p

Well my server settings are fine. Its just it decides to start downloading at random times. I've unpaused/resumed, uninstalled and restarted the service and it still does it.

Think i will stick with it for the time being though.

i found a few of the items in my queue did that once....turns out I'd setup both my primary server and backup server to use 20 connections each (i have a max of 20 on my astraweb account). splitting this up to 10 on each sorted it. to be honest just a few connections will do the trick but I figure as I'm paying for them, may as well use them :)

Also make sure port 443 or 587 isn't blocked by your ISP. I found that 587 appears to be blocked for me on VM
