So are you saying that the bracket that is currently on the card the same height as a normal bracket found on a standard expansion card? If so, look in the box the card came in, it should have a bracket in there that is actually the same height as the PCB itself.

I got a Sapphire one and it had low profile brackets for the VGA and then for the HDMI and DVI.
was a nightmare trying to get the VGA back in so i left it 'missing' but the DVI and HDMI are fine.
