This is the theme I've been using for years now, based on columns UI. I find with Foobar that form takes a big step back but the funtionality it provides is brilliant. It doesn't work very well on Windows 7 however.

also, i recommend adding these 2 components to get started with (both are for default UI only). they are both very easy to use compared to most components and are really functional as well being some nice eye candy...

EDIT: i see a few of you are running windows classic theme. foobar looks much better with 3rd party themes. if on XP, find something with nice tabs (even luna is much better than classic). i'm on windows 7 and am using a theme called soft7 1.8. i think it makes foobar look infinitely better. here's an example layout using just the 2 components i mentioned above.
