Remote assistance. Though I have to say that Team Viewer is probably one of the best and it doesn't matter if you leave the software installed as it's about 4MB and you have to launch it and join a meeting for it to work.

Use TeamViewer QuickSupport. All they have to do is run it and it'll give them an ID/password which they give to you, they may have to accept your connection when you try and connect but that's about it; no installation required.

You don't need to install teamviewer, there's an option to run it as a portable app. It's the easiest to use as well in my opinion.

RDP is my favourite but in non-servers it logs off the main user from using the desktop but it's great IMO. Also I access my home PC from phone or mates a lot. Is there a way I can have a .rdp or (vnc-one) that I click and it opens, connects, remembers USER AND PASS and saves settings on .rdp but NOT on the machine?

Even better can it run through SSL or VPN if that makes it secure.
