That's because it's Normal
anything under Torment is a non-challenge. Then you have greater rifts which become more and more challenging as you progress.

I guess he's playing on expert, because Torment and above doesn't unlock until you finish the game. Torment 6 is hellishly difficult. Expert is very easy.

I aint played d3 in soooo long. I miss the days where we were fighting inferno chapter 3 in blues hoping for that 1000dps weapon 
. I didnt like the great nerf even though it meant I could solo the big D straight after it 
Didnt have much fun in ROS either. As much as I loved D2, I just dont think its for me

T6 is not difficult at all - I can 1 shot elites even with 4 players

Well, i put it on the highest difficulty when i started the game. I was expecting abit of a challange, but its boring me to death since I'm just walking through the game without even trying to concentrate on whats going on.

I have to agree. There is no risk if there is no loss! The amount of times I've been close to death yet just manage to escape...
2nd that ... but ya d3 has gotten easier and easier as patches/time have gone by ... - this is due to blizzard caving into the 'whiners' and 'cry-babies'.

I reckon it's more Activision pushing them to bring in more money than them wanting to cave though.

i tried the game but my goodness it ain't half boring point and click
Not tried the torment levels but had a quick go on the hardest (expert?) difficulty of a new game and it was stupidly easy compared to what I remember from the original game but as above it was also stupidly boring - not really my kind of game any more though.
Notice this with a lot of games recently though - they don't seem to do well unless they have a way to flatter the player as the mainstream gamer these days doesn't seem to want an actual challenge to put it politely.

I find t6 still a little dicey on my wizard to be fair, but I live with it as I can kill and kite quite well.
Overall though I have to agree the games been made easier and hardcore is certainly a good idea to try to keep it a bit lively lol.

bcos blizz made the design decision years ago that easier game = more potential customers = more $$$.
everything they made after WoW: Burning Crusade has easy-mode built in where it is designed so even your grandma could clear all the content whilst blindfolded.
anyway, most RPG style games are decided by your gear/stats.
finding the game too easy? remove all paragon points and take all ur OP gear off and only use white quality gear or something.
