You might not. It was handy for me to have running on a server watching the HG612 as I currently have line rate issues. Saved me having to login each time.

If you reset it wont you need to unlock it again? I had to mess about with the unlocking process a few times if i recall.

I think you have to put the SR102 in router only mode and connect the TP Link to the bottom LAN port.

In the advanced settings I think, there is a drop down for WAN mode, there's three options and I think it shows a picture of how to connect it up.
