Do you mean compilation mixes by Detroit DJs or artist albums such as Octave One etc? I'm a little behind the scene nowadays but Detroit will always be my first love.

If you are a fan anyway no doubt you have tried all or some of these for DJ mixes...

Kevin Saunderson KS01
Kevin Saunderson KS02
Kevin Saunderson X-Mix
Kevin Saunderson Ekspozicija 07
Kevin Saunderson Deep Space Techno
Kevin Saunderson Deep Cyberspace Radio Vol. 1
Kevin Saunderson Deep Cyberspace Radio Vol. 2
Kevin Saunderson Deep Cyberspace Radio Vol. 3

Can you tell my favourite Detroit DJ? Seriously though, all are excellent mixes. The latter 3 are rare promo CDs, I paid three-figures for the collection from Discogs. Saunderson strikes the right balance for me, a house/techno vibe with a great ear for a good track.

Other CD mixes to check out are Lawrence Burden, Lorne Burden, Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Rolando, DJ 3000 etc. etc.

My days of collecting CDs are well over, the format is too restrictive for the record company as well as artist. Live mixes is where its at for me and has been for many years, if you know where to look for the better ones.

Anyway - sorry if I've totally derailed your thread. If it is artist albums you're looking for, Discogs is the best bet. Look at artist you like and the suggestions are usually pretty good in revealing other stuff you may like.
