I'd remove the memory and just install one stick of memory at a time (assuming you have two!) Then maybe after a day or so just install the other. I had a similar issue with my last rig and it was one 512Mb DDR module that was stuffed

I'd also remove the existing drivers with Driver Cleaner, reboot then install the latest ones

It could even be your PSU potentially, the GTX will def strain your PSU more than the 2600XT did, have you checked the power connections to the card ? Are you using PCI-E 6pin connection to PSU or the PCI-E to 4 pin molex converters etc,etc

Also what's your cooling like, is your CPU overclocked ?

Check your motherboard to case mounting too

Maybe test memory with Memtest86+ to rule that out

Id get shot of that PSU for starters, el-cheapo Q-Tec's those (even look like em, same colour gold everything), probably can't handle the GTX.

Yes when he reads this he should instantly turn his PC off and rip the PSU out, if he wants he can post it to me and I can make a video of it when I set it on fire :D

I'd recommend a Corsair HX520W at least.

If it's only booting when it's laying on its side, check that the card isn't leaning in the socket too much when the unit is stood up, 'cause that could cause a dodgy connection and potentially damage the card...

Heres a sweex review.

Only 25amps on the 12v rail according to that, so id say its struggling to power the GTX, id get it replaced for a decent one, the Crosairs are excellent PSU's, and this one will handle it all fine, and won't break the bank, fantastic price http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-006-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat= and welcome to the forums. :)

just to play devil's advocate, 25amps would do that gpu just fine. the question really is, is that psu cabale of even that whilst remaining stable? which i doubt it is really.
