so, DVI out on gfx card -- DVI>VGA adaptor -- VGA cable -- tv
That correct?
Boot up with your primary screen connected, then plug in the tv with it already being set to "PC" or w/e and then see if you can set it up to extend your monitor onto that screen from the windows resolution settings area.

Sounds like possibly the resolution you are running at, tried dropping to 60/50Hz just for the now?

so 59/60, which is fine for either. It might be that you ahve to use some form of destop manager or something in CCC. I know i got this issue once before on some nvidia card at work. I dont know anything about the CCC though so i cant help you

Might be in CC, when i hooked my Rig upto my plasma for the first time i couldnt get the res right.

Until i went into CC ad it autodetcted all the settings etc..

Try reinstalling the graphics drivers and CCC. Also try just running through the TV and if that works then plug in the PC monoitor (u can change which one is primary later).
