Valve employee Jeep Barnett has confirmed via email that anything outside of the GLaDOS@HOME page is irrelevant to the current state of the ARG, including claims made by infected users (such as the editing by Dougley and Jetuser).

He went on to confirm this is true by stating:

I am okay. I am still a person. Who is okay. I am busy doing safe things that are supervised by a responsible safety associate.

We are not to worry about anything other than getting Glados back online.

Think this got posted at somepoint in either the ARG or portal threads.

It's the strongest mention of anything related directly to HL (the Borealis). Hopefully the ARG doesn't end with the release of Portal 2.
