What's adding those green bars by the results? Do you have any plugins or interesting "internet security" software that likes to play with search pages?

Also bear in mind that they like to test new features and designs on small groups, this could be one of those cases..

Off topic, XRAY, right-click on the top bar in Firefox, untick Menu Bar.

Suspect it's Avast, I would bet it's proxying the google page which gives you those bars and also altering the way the page looks. Try disabling the Avast addin (or proxy) and see if it looks better.

Mine had the weird look with the underline disappearing. From what I read its google trying new looks sometimes.
