Hi guys,

I've recently upgraded to an SSD so space is a premium and I've just noticed that my mobile apps in my itunes folder is nearly 3gb. Is it alright to delete this?

Why do I even need them on my computer, its not like I can even use them is it :)

Am I right in thinking that if I do delete them I will simply have to wait for them to download again the next time I sync my iphone with my computer?

Thanks.

I think you will just have to wait for them to transfer when you sync - which takes forever!

Change your iTunes folder location, under preferences or something. I assume you have a storage drive anyway..

If you delete them, when you sync next they'll copy back over to your computer again.

You could, as Oli mentioned, change your iTunes folder location :)

Thanks guys!

Why are they sync'd to a computer at all, is it to make it easier if you were to reset your phone or update it etc? That would make sense.

I'll take your advice and move the itunes folder to my storage drive - this is pretty much what I'm doing fro everything else since installing an ssd :)

Pretty much I guess, if you ever have to restore you can then sync from PC and not have to re download them, considering some are like 400MB those with slower internet and caps wouldn't be too happy.

Help! I've just added a new album to my iTunes library and want to sync it to my iphone but I'm being asked to erase and sync :(

This is all to do with me moving my iTunes folder to a different drive, any ideas?

I've also noticed that there is an itunes folder in my music (windows 7); fairly sure I deleted that when I moved the folder to the storage drive
