Hey Guys,

I've got file's on a Old HD which I cannot delete, and It's really beginning to annoy me now. So im wondering if there is a program which Force's the files to be deleted?

I've successfully deleted some files in safe mode before but it depends on what they are and the reason for their stubbornness.

What message are you getting from Windows when you attempt to delete them?

Ermm,

I'm getting:-

I'm basically just trying to remove all the old Window's files of my old HD

It looks like the files you're trying to remove are in use, hence why they won't delete. Restart the pc and before the Windows boot screen appears press F8 and select Safe Mode. Then delete the file(s). ;)

And if that doesn't work, try using ProcessExplorer to stiff out which processes are using the un-deletable files.

Once you've done that you can shut down the offending process and then delete the files.

why didnt you just stick a boot disc in (Floppy) and delete from dos ?

Because:

A) Most PC's nowadays don't have such devices.
B) It's easier to do it in Safe mode.
