Dose anybody know how to delete startup names in msconfig ?

I know that you can prevent them starting up and I have deleted them from regedit and my hardrive but the names still appear in msconfig there must be away to get rid

If the entries stiil show in msconfig then you haven't deleted them by using regedit.

I have followed the location "HKLM/SOFTWARE/microsoft/windows/current version/run and deleted them ,what else do I have to do

You will need to reselect them in msconfig - restart computer.

Then using ‘Regedit’ or AutoRuns delete them.
Just make sure you backup the registry before making any changes.

Autoruns is good and looks in all places. Look also for entries that display an error that file does not exist or could not be found.

Apart from HKLM/, you should also look in the same path under HKCU/ and HKU/.Default...
