Hi,

Does anyone know if its possible to delete the default theme in XP (Windows XP Theme)?

I want to just use the windows classic theme, but im having some issues with "Windows and Buttons" under Display Properties changing to the windows XP theme somehow. This is under a virtual machine, so it is easier if i can just delete the theme if its possible?

Thanks
Jack

that's the themes folder, I haven't tried deleting the default theme or anything so can't really help you.

Have you tried disabling the Themes service? Start>Run>services.msc. Search for Themes, and stop it, then disable it.

Worth a try, it's 'neater' than deleting the files imo, and achieves the same result while also cutting down on one service.
