This is ace, it is giving me so much fun simply sitting here scanning stuff into it for reasons I simply don't understand. I urge people to download it and get scanning......but again I don't know why! :D

Had this for quite a while now. Handy piece of software for those with large DVD/CD and book collections. I have it for my DVDs and books. It would be good if you could link your Amazon ebook library to it as well, instead of having to use the Kindle app (which looks gash).

But what do you do once you've scanned everything, just sit and look at it? Once it's all scanned, what's the point of it?

I regularly search through it to make sure I'm not ordering duplicates when buying new movies. I *think* it might keep track of your iTunes library to, I'm not sure as I haven't bought any music through iTunes or imported anything from CD. Also has a function to set various DVDs to being lent out to particular people in your contacts. I use this a lot as I share with my brother and friends. It's good to keep track of what's flowing in and out.

I suppose it's not very useful for people with small collections of stuff.

It's easier for me to have a list of all my DVDs that I'm slowly selling/buying Blu Ray versions using it than physically climbing about on my shelves. I like having a proper list of all my CDs that's not just in iTunes (the physical copies are kept in archive boxes). That's it really, it's one of those things that's nice to have but you can go through life never using quite happily!
