I used that without a problem on my CPU, as do a lot of people. However, pay your money and make your choices.

If the die mate wasn't always out of stock people wouldn't use rockit

There are quite a few services on the bay if you can't find a tool, might be able to get one second hand somewhere. But yeah they are hard to find. I couldn't get my hands on the derbauer one (which I wanted) so ended up making my own for my 7900x. Cost me £0.0p in the end .

Always something to consider if your feeling confident enough. Doesn't need to be anything fancy on the smaller chips as there isn't a great deal to damage.
