Hi All,

My 2600K is getting on now and although i cant see any issues with it at the moment i am wondering if the original thermal paste is getting a little old and cracked and whether it would be worth delidding it and reapplying more paste....

I run it at 4.6Ghz and its stable if not a little toasty when pushed.

Any opinions gratefully received.

Thanks

Haha ok guys, you have made your point. Looks like ill just have to keep using it. Great CPU btw.... At 4k mixed with a 1080ti it keeps up with the newer CPUs. Well at that res the GPU is faster than the CPU but you know what i mean.

What do you mean by toasty?
What cooler do you have?
Some fresh modern thermal paste might well help a bit.
I have a H60i with Grizzly thermal paste applied about 6 months ago. Temps go from 40 to about 80 degrees C. I dont like the fan noise so i try to keep a healthy balance between noise and heat.
