I ordered a graphics card from a different website and when i received it the card was just wrapped in a plastic bag, no secondary box. Now i had missed delivery because i was not in 4 times so i can imagine the item had been thrown around abit.

Each corner of the box the seal was broke and the card of box was worn. Now the company i bought it off say they'll only accept return if the seal isn't broken in anyway. Do you think them posting in just a bag is acceptable. Not only that this card is £700 plus and i'm worried it could be internally damaged?

Company can't do that. You can return. I wouldn't take that card. Not at that price. I'm guessing the company is Scam? they tend to post stuff without extra boxes. One of the reasons I don't use them anymore.

£700! what gpu you bought?

New law came in to play last week an was air'd on the news! all items are returnable an able for a refund no questions asked by law.

Have a look on tinterweb

I'm allowed to mention the company name on here. It's not a scam as it gets good reviews on various review websites. I'v used them before never really had a problem until this.

They cant refuse you a refund just because the seal on the box is open. Did you pay by credit card?
And no, its not acceptable for them to ship in just a bag, at least some bubble wrap as a minimum.

It's a bit crazy spending so much and then continuously missing the delivery, That's asking for trouble, get it sent back and buy from a reputable known site were you can find out proper consumer info, I imagine they make an extra effort when delivering to customers that do product reviews, They clearly don't give a flying rattatooee about the little consumer guy.

LOL wasn't saying it was a Scam. It was just poor code for a certain company

I've had absolutely nothing but bad experiences with the Bolton jokers. The final straw was sending back a Thermaltake PSU that completely failed after a few hours of use (desktop use at that, I never got the chance to fire any games up). Absolutely no signs of life from it, tested in both a working machine and with an adapter that came with my main EVGA unit. They still tried to argue about the RMA and claimed it had magically sprung back to life, before eventually backing down and admitting it was dead. Never again.

Of course, the OP might not have even been talking about them. Still, any excuse to stick the boot in. :D

Well complete different experience with me. I built a pc and fried the motherboard called them up and next day had a door exchange with a brand new motherboard.
Also had ram replaced.

Same experience with ocuk faulty gpu 290 ocuk found it faulty no 290 in stock sent me 290x instead..

Two different suppliers both excellent customer service from me.

My main difference between the two is pricing and wish ocuk would use DPD more on less priced hardware.

Royal mail isn't enough for me.
